Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings:

A perfect mix of chicken and dumplings with a smooth texture to soothe your taste buds, the slow cooker chicken with dumplings is easy to make. You need:

  • Chicken breast, skinless 1-2 pounds
  • 1 large onion
  • Salted butter 3tbsp
  • Carrots
  • Green peas
  • Chicken broth 4 cups
  • Fresh thyme leaves
  • Baking powder
  • Whole wheat
  • Flour

 

Fry onions in butter for a few minutes and transfer them to the slow cooker. Add vegetables, chicken and chicken broth to the slow cooker. It will take 4 to 6 hours with low flame until chicken is tender enough to chew.

For dumplings, mix together flour, baking powder and salt and let it heat in microwave for 40-45 seconds. Add milk to the mixture and mix well. Cook is under the high flame for half an hour.

Slow Cooker Shredded Chicken Tacos:

Ingredients include:

  • Chicken breasts 2lbs
  • Tomatoes sauce
  • Vinegar 2tsp
  • Garlic 2tsp
  • Sugar ½ tsp
  • Chilli powder
  • Oregano
  • Lime juice

 

Start by mixing together tomato sauce, garlic, vinegar, chilli powder, oregano and sugar in a bowl. Once all the ingredients are mixed well together, keep it aside.

Now add oil, let it heat and add chicken in a slow cooker. Let the chicken be cooked for up to 6 to 8 hours in the slow cooker and shred it after it’s tender. Add sauce and shredded chicken in a taco and enjoy it during the Fall season.

You can take it with different toppings to add more taste to your dinner.

Slow Cooker Chicken Buffalo Meatballs:

All you need to prepare the delicious chicken buffalo meatballs is:

  • Chicken 1 lbs
  • Egg
  • Garlic powder ½ tsp
  • Onion powder ½ tsp
  • Green onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Buffalo sauce ¾ cup
  • Cheese for dressing and garnishing

 

To prepare the meatballs, take a large bowl and add chicken, egg, onion and garlic powder, green onion and salt and pepper in it. Remember that the chicken will be in ground form. Now mix the spices together with chicken and you will get a thick mixture in the end. Make small balls out of the mixture using your hands.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and after it’s ready, place the meatballs on a baking sheet placed on a tray. The meatballs will take 4-5minuits to until all sides turn slightly brown. Now put the meatballs in a slow cooker and let it cook for two hours, after adding buffalo sauce into it. The flame should be slow to get the best results!

After the meatballs are done, you can garnish them with cheese and enjoy your hot and cheesy meatballs on a perfect fall night.

Slow Cooker Teriyaki Chicken:

You will be needing:

  • Boneless chicken breasts 2 lbs
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Honey ½ cup
  • Soy sauce ½ cup
  • Vinegar ¼ cup
  • Ginger 1tbsp
  • Cornstarch 3 tbsp
  • Cold water ¼ cups

 

Start by mixing together soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, ginger, onion and black pepper. Once it is mixed together well, place chicken breasts in the slow cooker and add the sauce onto it. Let the chicken cook on high flame for 4 to 5 hours. Shred the chicken and transfer the sauce to a saucepan.

Mix together water and cornstarch well enough to form a paste and add it in teriyaki sauce. Cook it for 1 to 2 minutes or until it boils and pours it onto the shredded chicken.  

  • Salsa Verde Chicken:

This is an easy recipe and you will be needing very few major ingredients. The ingredients are:

  • Chicken 2lbs
  • Cumin 1tsp
  • Garlic powder 1/8 tsp
  • Salt and pepper
  • Salsa Verde 16oz.
  • Black beans
  • Rice 4 cups
  • Lime
  • Jalapeno
  • Onion

Take the onion and pepper and put them in the slow cooker and place the chicken on top of it. Sprinkle salt, pepper and garlic powder onto the chicken followed by the salsa sauce and let it cook for 4 to 8 hours on low flame.

Separately, add rice in a bowl along with 1-2 pieces of chicken, sliced jalapeno and rinsed black beans and lime juice to serve. The hot and yummy salsa Verde chicken will be ready for you to enjoy during the fall!
